Who You Are Matters
Where am I from?
I was born and raised in Naperville, Illinois, which is a large suburb of Chicago. I’ve lived there for all 20 years of my life so far (and have never even moved houses!)
Where am I going?
To all 50 states and all 7 continents. Taking inspiration from Mr. Worldwide himself.
How do I plan to get there?
First, I’ll win the lottery so I don’t have to empty my bank account, but then I’ll probably need planes, trains, and automobiles (maybe a boat for Antarctica, though).
How am I like my parents?
I’ve been told that my sister is just like my mom and I’m just like my dad. My dad and I share the same optimism and go-with-the-flow energy. But I get my values and patience from both of them.
How am I unlike my parents?
I am a bit more sarcastic than my parents and I sleep about 5 hours later than them.
Have you developed your own expectations for yourself?
I have developed my own expectations for myself, but still sometimes find myself doing what my parents want me to do. They don’t exactly give me specific expectations, but I can pick up on what they do and do not want me to do.
Who serves as a role model for you?
As I said above, I’m currently taking inspiration from Mr. Worldwide. I’m a big fan of his positivity– he took the negatives in his life and turned them into positives.
What wild animal do you feel a special connection with, and why?
For some unknown reason I’ve always liked sheep. They look so comfortable with all their fur.
Describe a significant childhood encounter with a tree or plant.
At my elementary school, each 2nd grader was given a caterpillar to take care of. My neighbor and I had so much fun with it, that we somehow ordered at least 20 caterpillars online. To prepare for their arrival, we went to a nature preserve and spent hours looking for milkweed (the type of leaves that monarch butterfly caterpillars like). Whenever I see milkweed now, it makes my inner child happy.

Wow Abby, I also love Mr. Worldwide and sheep. I saw him in concert this summer and he was amazing, and I was supposed to see him last weekend. I also did a caterpillar project when I was younger and it was so fun to see them grow and fly away at the end of the project
ReplyDeleteI think Mr. Worldwide is a great role model to have! Also we share the same moon and rising signs :)
ReplyDeleteAbby like you I am a Leo and I am also a big fan of Mr. Worldwide. It's great to take inspiration from him because as he says he's "been there, done that".
ReplyDeleteI think Mr. Worldwide is an Icon and a great role model! I was super excited when he announced a concert 10 minutes away from my house, but unfortunately I wasn't able to get tickets.
ReplyDeleteI think Pitbull is a great role model and is a really cool and fun person! And I am also a Leo.
ReplyDeleteI like your commitment to Pitbull in this. I think you'll take the Mr.Worldwide title from him one day. Also I think sheep are an underrated animal, glad you chose it.
